Hi !!!
Last week I went to Delapre Abbey with some friends. I had forgotten how near it is and what a beautiful and relaxing place it is. Whilst I was there I was lucky to have a tour of the house, as it is not open to the public.
The house at the moment is under going refurbishments as it was granted a 2 million pound lottery grant, so in 2 years time, when the refurbishment is over I hope to go back and see it restored and see what changes have been made.
Whilst I was going around I learnt a lot about the places history; from how it started life as a nuns convent, to a family house and finally to the borough council owning it and then how it was at risk if being nocked down multiple times.
Around the house is are beautiful grounds, perfect for a walk around when it is sunny weather.
Hope to write again soon !!!

Best Friend?
Hi !!!
Recently I have been loving the video "Best Friend" by Foster the People. I think it is a beautiful piece of art and I love the message which it conveys, to me, about the fashion industry and how our society is always striving for perfection; even if it kills us in the process of wanting what it is impossible to get in reality, and is only possible with Photoshop and editing software.
I also feel the video has a sense of irony with a called best friend having a video showing a women being very violent towards others-not very friend like!

Sizergh Castle
Hi !!!
While I was in Coniston, on the last day, I visited Sizergh Castle. I had never been there before or even heard of it. When looking at the house from a distance it did not look like much and a bit samey, samey. But it is actually an amazing house and gardens, the ceilings in the house have the most amazing patterns and in the garden there is a gorgeous Limestone garden- I loved it, especially the element of water running through it.
Here are some of the photos I took while I was there:

Coniston...
Hi !!!
Recently I went on a small 5 day trip to Coniston, in the Lake District. As I child I used to travel there every Easter and New Year, for as long as I can remember. But I had not been there in 5 years...
When I arrived I was overcome with memories from when I was young and the walks I went on. I thought I was fitting to do some of the walks I remember, but what I had not thought of is that I was healthier, fitter and had more energy then, compared to now.
So here are some of the photos I took of the picturesque scenery in the Lake District:

This fallen tree was covered in coins that people had pushed into it so it ended up looking scally from a distance |
