Walk along the South Bank

Hi !!!
Last week I went to London to go for a walk along the river. I started at Trafalgar Square and walked along to Battersea Power Station and then walked around Chelsea, while I was on the walk I popped into Tate Britain to see what was on. I then went for dinner in Sloane Square. After dinner I went for a walk along the river before I headed home.

Chanel Mademoiselle Privé

Hi !!!
Last week I went to the Chanel Mademoiselle Privé at the Saatchi Gallery in London. There were no tickets for the exhibition and it was free to go to.

The gallery was split into different sections focusing on different aspects of Chanel. The first section was about how Chanel started off as a milliner and there found her love of simplicity. The next section was the perfumery, where lids of perfume 'chambers' lifted and released scent into the room. The next was a room with a maze inspired by the Chanel double C. Then I went into the haute couture room, which had dresses with lights going through them so you could see the details of the dress and in some cases the construction of them, following on from that was the diamond room, which had mannequins with diamonds on, on a platform which you walked around and photos of celebrities wearing the diamonds on the walls, I really liked how you could see the diamonds clearly as they weren't in glass cabinets and instead there were lots of security guards. Then we went into the room showing Chanel's inspiration, such as red and pearls, when we were in this room the alarm went off asking us to leave - luckily this was a false alarm. Finally we went into the room showing animations of silhouettes.

Overall I thought it was a really good exhibition, it was worth the wait to get in and despite being unsure about how it was going to work at the beginning I really enjoyed it.

After the exhibition I went for a walk around London and then in the evening went to the National Theatre to see As You Like It, which I really enjoyed.
