Wintery Summer Leys

Hi !!!
I love going walking, particularly over Christmas as it is a nice way to spend time with family and friends. I went on quite a few walks around Christmas and here are photos from one of them when I went to Summer Leys Nature Reserve.

I know this photo is nothing special but I love the composition of it

 

 

As I have said before I love how electricity pylons look in photos

Lit up London

Hi !!!
I have just got back from a day out in London. I got a late (ish) train there and then went to The Crypt Café for lunch. After lunch I walked to The National Gallery to see the exhibition on Rembrandt, then I walked to Café Concerto to have tea and cake, the cake was gorgeous and the place inside looked amazing. I then had a wonder round London, it was very busy around Oxford Circus and everywhere looked very festive.

Painting on a Denim Jacket

Hi !!!
For an art project I used Magritte's surrealist designs and painted them onto a denim jacket. This jacket worked perfectly for my art project and I feel I made a normal denim jacket more interesting, yet it is still very wearable.

Also thank-you for my friend for being an amazing model !

Red-ish Sky at Night

Hi !!!
I love taking photos of sunsets. I think they look especially nice with a silhouette in front of it, particularly this tree, every time there is a sunset I stand outside and take a photo of this tree, I think it looks perfectly proportioned and makes a lovely picture.

Horst & 39 Steps

Hi !!!
I have just been to London to meet up with a friend and we went to the V&A to see the Horst exhibition, he was a 1930's photographer who did many covers for Vogue. Afterward we walked from the V&A to Piccadilly Circus, where we had a lovely meal at Tibits (a restaurant where you serve yourself then pay for your food by weight). After that we walked to the Criterion Theatre to see 39 Steps, a family friend was acting in the 4 person cast. I really enjoyed the play and would recommend seeing it.

Inside the shop at the V&A there was a box of butterfly clips and I thought they made a beautiful composition

Wash land Wonderings

Hi !!!
I have just been for a walk around the wash lands in Northampton, Nene Valley. I had not walked round there in a while so it was nice to visit there again, however I discovered a new route to walk which I tried and I really liked. It was a nice change and I have some nice photos as a result.

 

I saw these paw prints in concrete, with a shadow from a gate on top and I loved the  effect it had

 

 

I was standing taking pictures of the view and a herd of sheep all ran past, after about the 15th photo I managed to take this one

I really like the effect of this photo, it is the reflection of a tree in a lake

 

 From putting this post together, I think I have discovered it is fair to say I like taking photos of electricity pylons.
